removal of deinterlacing option for mpeg4 in upcoming builds

as its set to be fixed for 0.8.4 would it not be better to remove that option on mpeg4 video's (example - no post processing option on dvd's) so that people stop reporting it? i have seen a few people complain about it in the 0.8.2 release topic and it affects all mpeg4 video's i have tried so far.
