In the Fox case, Track 1 is labeled on the selection menu as "Espanol" and Track 2 is labeled as "English". In the cases I have encountered most often for the defaulted-to Track 1 (mostly college football), there are no announcers - only background sound. I believe that, for an NFL game, I did hear Spanish commentary on Track 1.Does VLC recognize the channel languages?
That works! Even though I had actually looked for a relevant configuration setting, I had missed that "Preferred audio language" entry field under "Tracks". There is no problem. You can put the preferred language in the preferences then. Put "en"
