Lossless APE Audio Support For VLC Media Player

Monkey's Lossless APE Audio format is a free, open source, lossless audio compression format that would seem a perfect addition to the VLC Media Player. Full source code and sample work are available that would appear on the surface to make this a relatively simple addition ot the VLC Media Player; links to relevent information and source include:

The APE audio format has a lot to recommend it, and would make one more fine addition to VLC Media Player; the Author seems a genuinely very nice guy, willing to help, and his only stipulation to using is source seems appears to be that you contact him: email@monkeysaudio.com and aren't going to commercially exploit his work; not much asked for a lot offered IMHO...
