Check your PM if you haven't already..That's good. Shall I do small resolution versions for Windows? I'd be good if you could provide the illustrator file.
At least for the 16x16 resolution a standalone icon needs to be made.
No problem, I can change it back easily.. I made a small improvement over the current design: the shadow I made for the folded part (top-right) was flowing over outside of the icon, which is fixed now. I'll upload the ones that, IMO, are final:I'm currently working on the smaller version. Concerning the shadow, I compared different versions and it turns out that I like your original shadow best. So let's keep it that way if you have nothing against it.
Ah really that's your opinion They kinda do look like application icons don't they@vlc_fan-01: I don't really like these new 3D badge icons of yours, they don't really fit with any other file type icons out there.
Same reason there is a Playlist icon more file type conquest Anyway subtitles can be dropped onto VLC manually (when there is a video playing) so yeah it makes sense to associatewhy is there a subtitle icon? Does VLC reads subtitles without the movie? And if yes for what purpose?
true , your point is to leave out having an icon for subtitle files? Agaian I was tagging along with what other media player's can do in their associations. Personally I like the inclusion of a subtitle icon.A playlist is a playlist and VLC can do playlists, but VLC doesn't do subtitles. I mean, I associate subtitles with VLC I double click and...nothingness.
PS:@lopoz The icons are very very beautiful, although very macish.
Well, I don't think we should have 40+ icons.
Let's start with 4 (audio, video, subtitle, generic) and see what happens.
Hmmm, this is the exact format that Mac OS X uses. Are the icons on Windows wider?I think gebeleizis has a point.
But, that doesn't mean we don't want this icon, since we could use it for something else than association.
Generally, those icons are nice, but maybe they are not wide enough.
