Encode and play FLV?

Postby AndieR » 05 Oct 2005 20:34

Hello,

I'm sorry if this is already somewhere, I've searched the forums for flv but coulnd't really "pinpoint" this issue.

So here it goes, we would like to be able to take say an mpeg video and convert it to FLV. Not on the fly nor with any streaming capabilities. Just take a video in the server and convert it to FLV...

Do you think this might be possible with the current versions or else some future one?

Best regads,
AndieR

It doesn't seem like it, but it sure would be nice to be able to play flv and transcode to flv (at least to file).

Or at least play flv files properly. Maybe its just me but flv files play in vlc but you cant skip forward or back at all. There are plenty of converters on source forge tho. Playing the files properly is a bigger issue for me tho.

you can convert video to flash (flv/swf) with the help of special software.
i.e. Video to Flash Converter
