Hello,
I am using VLC as the playout agent in a radio automation system that I created a while back. In the system, I install, configure, and communicate with VLC via CLI using the CVLC command set. One thing that I have had an issue with is, when installing a new VLC instance for a new playout instance, there is no way to import a premade preference file (I have a full preset of buffers, EQ, and compressor settings that I use), and I was wondering if there is anyway that this would be added as a feature in the CVLC command set as well as the normal program?
At this moment, the only way that I have found to import a premade preferences file is to install VLC, open the preferences panel, save the default config, find the preferences file, and finally, replace the default preferences file with my premade one.
It seems like having the ability to import and export your favorite preferences would be a good feature to have in both the normal version and the CVLC version of VLC.
It's also possible that there is a way to do this that I have overlooked.
Thanks!
RadioGuy
Ps. I am using VLC for Debian.
