Playing/Pausing video with single click on screen

If I remember well, it was possible to pause/play videos simply clicking over the screen. Not sure if I did something wrong and changed the configuration (tried to find options about it before coming here to ask) or if it was never available and I'm thinking of utube videos where it's possible to pause videos this way.

Do I really have to click in the appropriate control buttons below the video or it is possible to activate play/pause on screen click?

Hit the space bar = Pause
Hit the space bar again = Play

Keyboard is always faster than any mouse movement.
