Option to Override "5%" Rule when Resuming a Previously Played Video

Postby robert12345 » 18 Apr 2024 14:49

I already have "Continue Playback" set to "Always" and "Save Recently Played Items" checked in Settings, which will make a video pick up from where it left off if you previously stopped the video or closed VLC while it was playing, but this only works if the video is long enough and the place where you stopped it is not within 5% of the start or end time of the video.

I would like to ask that an option to override this 5% rule is added. It may make sense for shorter videos, where 5% of the time is just a few seconds, but I have some very long media where 5% of the video can be more than an hour. I would like for my location in these videos to be automatically saved (I don't want to have to set a bookmark manually) even if I stop it within 5% of the start or end time of the video.

Thanks!
