I have a non-trivial selection of music files that consist of multiple movements. For example, let's say a piece's overall title is "A Day at the Farm", consisting of the movements "Cows", "Dogs" and "Pigs". Right now, particularly in VLC4AA, when I'm listening to this, the only 'title' that's displayed is "Cows". However, this is not very informative. I would really prefer to see "A Day at the Farm - Cows". There seems to be no way to accomplish this without including the track title in every chapter's title, which is undesirable. While my particular use case is Android Auto, I believe the title bar for desktop versions is also affected. Also, the "obvious" fix in my mind involves changes to the metadata format, which is beyond the scope of just VLC, but I'm hoping VLC might lead the way by adding support for... something.
Splitting the files is not practical. This would also seem to be relevant to some podcasts and audiobooks.
Any thoughts how this could be addressed?
