When will gap-less playback be in the nighly?

Hi,

Thank you to the developers, where would we be with out VLC. That rhymes:-) I downloaded a nightly to see if gap-less playback worked for MP3 files. After it didn't, I read in February that it wasn't in the nightly yet. Are there any time estimates? Is there a "watch this space" area that I should be checking?

Let's hope this will be fixed before the release of v4, otherwise VLC be the only 'major' player without gapless audio.

It is discouraging to me as a new VLC user that this has been under discussion and under development for literally years now, with no apparent progress. I guess I will be resuming my search for a suitable alternative to Windows Media Player, huh So sorry.

What should apparent progress be here? Either the feature works or it does not. There are many things that needed to be fixed, and some that still do. Unless you follow the development closely, progress will not be visible to you.
