click on slider - better useability?

When watching a movie/episode in VLC and i attempt to forward the slide by clickin ahead the movie just skips a few secs/mins.

Is it possible to get it to move to the location click on by the mouse rather than XX time ahead Its just easier than sliding the bar that way

no it isn't. (see previous answers in this forum for reasons why ... it's not that we wouldn't like to change it ... but we can't)
