Pause and jump to next frame/keyframe

Hi,

I wait for year, for this feature, but still not there, so i decide to post this

There is a feature, avidemuxer has, but VLC doesn´t.

It´s the ability to press pause and jump to previous/next (key)frame by pressing a key on the keyboard

Arrow up/down for next/previous Keyframe
Arrow Left/right for next single frame

What i know is there is the "e" for next frame
but previous frame there is NO function, isn´t it? but why ?
Is there any addon like firefox that will do this? Any chance to implement this in the VLC 2.25?
the arrow keys aren´t in use

As i found this thread https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.php?t=55815 , it is not as easy?


So does anyone have an alternative to avidemuxer?

P.S: avidemuxer does this function very well, but unfortunately has problems with SD recordings in the right ratio.

so i found a player that does the "previous <-> next" frame job by pressing only one key

its beside to avidemuxer the
SMPlayer V 16.8.0

instead of pressing e for next frame like VLC it is . ,

so here is the next player that is able to do a jump to next and previous frame

1sec usually has 24-60 frames, just for explanation
