Text and video display

How to display text along with video in VLC in the source code.
It should support all types of video formats.
The text should have scrolling and other effects.

You can have a look at the "marquee" filter in modules/video_filter/marq.c

This shows how to display some text on the video. You can customize this to add effects and other stuff.

For effects samples, you can have a look at the rss filter (that does scrolling)
