Ability To Edit The Title Bar At The Top Of VLC Window

Postby miketurn1234 » 28 Dec 2014 18:31

Hello Everyone,

I believe similar requests may have been made, but I don't remember coming across one exactly like this.
It would be nice to be able to edit how the filenames display in the title bar located at the top of the VLC window, to the right of the VLC Cone icon.

It would be nice to be able to remove the " - VLC media player" that is added to the end of the filename, which is what I was looking to do.

For others it may be nice to be able to not display the filename in the title bar and just have it say "VLC Media Player"
This option may come in handy for those who have setups that keep the status bar on, which displays the filename.

For some maybe an option to display no text at all in the title bar would be desired.

Not a huge deal, but may be something to add if it does not already exist.
That being said, if any of this could already be done, I apologize for this post.

Thank You

You can already partly modify that, in the preferences.
