Do you have some answer from him now?Unfortunately, for the new version of the player - VLC - 2.1.0, this plugin (http://code.google.com/p/vlc-srpos-plugin/) does not work . VLC crashes while trying to exit.
I wrote a letter to Artem Senichev - if he has the time, let him release a new version of this great plugin. I really hope.
Not yetDo you have some answer from him now?
Is that hard for developers to add a couple of small dll's ? Do not believe it!Long long years passed but such famous free video player doesn't one of the most important feature.
Which OS? How did you install it?still works in 2.1.2
This works great! THANK YOU! This should have been a feature since VLC version 0.0 alphaAwesome, this worked great for me with the latest version of VLC http://vlcsrposplugin.sourceforge.net/
Useful tip... never update VLC again. It'll probably make the plugin stop working, and I can't see the maintainers giving a --please stay polite-- about it enough to ever add this essential feature.
Oh well, thank you again to this thread of abused and broken souls. With such tiny odds of success, you've found and shared a solution that works great!
$ ls in .libs --->Checked in .libs subfolder?
I tried the last version 2.2.0-rc2 and vlc-3.0.0-git and don't remember any position in windows xp. I think you mean to go to playback / custom boomarks and add new list every time, which is very uncomfortable.Srpos plugin does not work in Windows XP!
The feature is already implemented in VLC-2.2: http://nightlies.videolan.org/
It can remember recently played items and their playback positions after the 5-th minute of playback time.
