Picture Size in Fullscreen

Hi all,

I quite often watch movies on my laptop. Sometimes when I watch it from 60cm distance, or when simply watching some short videos, I would like to have a feature that would allow to change the picture size while watching a video in the full-screen mode. That would actually be a zoom-out with a black "frame", or simply a black area left around, with nothing else visible. No window, no commands. If I simply change zoom to 1/2 or whichever, there is still the whole window and also desktop visible around, which is distracting.

I believe you understand what I mean. I switched from mv2 player to VLC a long time ago, but that is one of the features I've been missing for years. ...and I couldn't figure out if it already exists...

Hotkeys:
"o" = Toggle autoscaling (Scaled to screen / Original Size / Zooming reset)
"z" / "Shift+z" = Zoom / Un-zoom (Quarter, Half, Original, Double)
"Alt+o" / "Alt+Shift+o" = Increase / Decrease scale factor

Thanks, but that's not what I asked. The controls you mentioned mostly apply to when it's not in full screen.

I would like to have a feature that would allow to change the picture size (zoom in/out) while watching a video in the full-screen mode.

Are you sure you cannot zoom in/out in fullscreen mode if you "Toggle autoscaling" at first? Works for me

With that I can only get "Original Size" and "Scaled to Screen". Can't go e.g. 100%, 85%, 75%, 50%, 125% etc., which is actually something I'm looking for.

OK, I just updated/reinstalled it and with z / shift+z it worked. However, it would be nice to have additional steps between original and double.

So, if there already is 25%, 50%, 100%, 200% - it would be also nice to have 125% and 150%, those are missing... Actually it would be even better to have manual slight zoom changes. some jumps, especially from 100 to 200% are really big.

It doesn't work in full screen mode, only with the window/frame visible.

It works !

You must FIRST select "original size" with the 'o' hotkey. ONLY THEN play with Alt+o" / "Alt+Shift+o" to increase/decrease by a 10% step from this original picture.

Yes, it works! Great! Don't know why it didn't work before... Maybe 'cause of "FIRST original size"..but now it works even without that.
