Something GOM does better than VLC

I am talking of the A B repeat function.

In Gom you can do the following
Cick the start position pof your A B repeat - your A position
CLick the B position, your loop repeats

So far the same as VLC...

But then....

If you have overshot the right beginning or end for your loop you can re-click the A or the B and refine your loop to your needs.

If you click the AB repeat button in VLC for a third time, or fourth, you find you simply loose your loop altogether - so you cant refine the loop starting or ending position.
Example, I use VLC for piano tuition, sometimes I want to watch the way my tutors fingers move over a very short piece of video. If I dont catch this right the first take I have to restart again, whereas in GOM I can keep the loop going but refine either the start or finishing position with more precision. Its just better.

If the two little orange buttons on the 'headphone shaped icon' were reclickable then you could emulate this function in VLC.

can you show us a screenshot or video of what your talking about that GOM dose so we can understand better

Why not try out Gom and do the following: Isolate a loop, then with the loop running hit the start or end position buttons (in the pop up box) and thereby refine the start or end of the loop to your taste. You cant sdo this in VLC and this means that you cant drill down to an exact loop, you can only get it right first time or abandon the whole loop and try again.
