Splash Screen

Is the splash screen support referred to here: https://trac.videolan.org/vlc/changeset/413 active in vlc, if so, how can i use it to force a splash screen to be sent to the clients making a vod request?

i am asking the question here because i dint find any pointers in the --longhelp option with the vlc command or anywhere else in the docs. so please provide me some link that will help me to achieve the goal.

I am afraid you dug a very old commit (2000) and this part of code no longer exist.

For your question, i don't hink it's currently possible.
