Graphical Equalizer

Postby garapheane » 23 Nov 2003 16:29

Hi.

Thank you for a great software. I use it on all my three machines, which run WindowsXP, BeOS and MacOSX.

Can we have a graphical equalizer for the audio output? It would be a great add-on to vlc. The function is needed to tweak the audio output to give the best experience on certain environments (speakers, spatial conditions etc) for different types of files.(different equalizer settings for movie, music videos, streaming video etc)

It would be a plus if we could save the equalizer setting and can choose which one to use according to the video.

Thank you again, and good luck!

An equilizer is a good suggestion. If someone has the time and interest to pick it up, i'm sure he will. Unfortunatly most of the current developers have other things on their hands right now.

heheh, sorry i don't get what you mean by that. do you need help for windows xp setup, or vlc on windows xp setup? for my xp machine, i used the zipped distribution of vlc 0.6.2 and put a shortcut on the desktop manually. didn't bother to change the file associations, though. so usually i drag-n-drop the video files to the vlc icon and/or access it from the commandline.

hope that helps a bit.

hi friends,
Could you please clarify my doubt? Actually, In VLC 09.8a player, for audio, how can we save a particular equalizer configuration?. Once we enable it, after playing one song, it gets disabled automatically. Is there any option to keep a particular configuration permanently?
