Camera HDV and VLC

Postby rodolphe » 22 Jun 2004 21:14

Hello,

I use VLC as a player for Mpeg2-TS (.m2t) files from my camcorder JVC GR-PD1. I would like to record from the firewire output of the camcorder. It works but I would like synchronize the recording with the start/stop button of the camera. (as a DV camcorder, an HDV camcorder uses the same remote codes with firewire interface)

Thanx

Rodolphe

hdv support in vlc

Postby smokeonit » 11 Aug 2005 00:22

yes, please add HDV support in vlc in the future.

it would be awesome to play hdv in vlc since my guess is that the deinterlace feature would work with the hdv 1080i codec too??? if so that would be awesome... ;-)
