Higher quality time stretching.

Postby wateras » 20 Mar 2011 01:36

For some reason the way vlc handles time stretching makes the audio clipped and harder to understand. I'm comparing it against gom player which seems to do this very well, I can crank videos above 2x speed and it still sounds natural whereas vlc becomes unpleasant, maybe its the algorithm? I don't know how it works, but maybe there is a better way to impliment this feature, as gom player already shows that it is possible.

Time stretching is good for getting through certain videos, so it is a nice feature to have.
