New icons

I think the main interface in Windows should change the play/pause/stop/etc. icons, they are boring. At least put them in another color.

feel free to submit some of your own if they please every one they might just make it for the next release.

Have also a look at the skin interface.
With them you can completly do what you want.
And any new skin is welcome.

I like the icons/buttons shown in the screen shot here.

I'm new to VLC, and I don't know if that's a screen shot of an old version or a beta version, but I think they look cooler than the current wxWindows icons/buttons.

these were the old icons (2 years ago). I don't remember why we changed ... but if you really want a nice lloking VLC you should try using the skins interface

What format is needed for the icons ?
I've made some theme for musikCube with GANT and FOOOD icon's.

Maybe I can make a new one for VLC.
I had contact with them and I think they will agree if they're asked before.

the icons need to be saved as xpm files (but basically any lossless compression format is ok and i'll be able to handle the conversion using the gimp)
