Options in GUI to change and configure recordings

maybe im to dumb ...

But i like the comfort of a gui ...

I´d like to be able to transcode a stream on the fly.
Basically a segment in the options were i can configure the encoder container folder to save etc ...
Setting the options that will be used when ...

i just press the red button when i see something i want to record from a stream.

Is That so hard and dumb and uncommon ...

That would cause some usability issues, if record button would change between dump and transcode. But separate button for transcode would be useful.
