Always disable subtitles

Hey,
I have got the VLC Media Player and the SMPlayer. In the SMPlayer there is a button to always disable subtitles.
Can you do this in the VLC, too?

There isn't a button for this in VLC. Setting Subtitles track and subtitles track ID to something like 99 might work.
