support for ffdshow or avisynth

Postby jackbluray » 23 Dec 2009 14:17

I would like to know if vlc will have a support of ffdshow or avisynth in a new release.

I ask that because I use some filters like deband in ffdshow or inverse telecine with avisynth (When I see 30 fps entrelaced videos) and it's for the moment impossible with vlc.

AVIsynth may happen. FFDshow is unlikely.

Tanks.
Why ffdshow is unlikely?

Is it possible to add a deband filter in vlc?

It would require that VLC would do DirectShow or VfW playback.

Yes. One could port FFDshows filter to VLC.
