The aspect ratio of the monitor 4:3, 16:9, etc. is different from the aspect ratio of the current resolution in pixels. It should be possible to make a film match the aspect ratio of the screen independent from the current resolution. That is if my film is 16:9 and I select 16:9 as monitor dimension then the film should be scaled to the full extent of the screen no matter what resolution we do have. Besides this a simple non-aspect ratio preserving full screen scale should be available.

OK, we do already have different resolution adjustments 4:3, 16:9 (not differing between monitor and resolution aspect ratio.). Nonetheless a simple non aspect ratio preserving full screen scale would be very handy!

There was some options for this. Pixel aspect ratio or something like that. Look for it in the preferences diaolog, advanced settings.
