Select Part Of movie and save it

Postby Mogwai_ » 09 Mar 2009 12:12

Hi,

Maybe this would be a nice feature. I know can make screenshots of movies and stuff. But maybe it would be a nicer feature to just select a part of a movie and save it.
So you can create gifs easier than with the screenshots.

Or another cool feature would be if you can hold the screenshots button and the player makes screenshots for you until the part you want is over instead of clicking like a maniac to have the good screenshot.

I think you're confusing a player with an editor.

Look for Nandub which allow you to select part of a movie and save it has picture > file > Save Image Sequence. (it's free)
if you can't find it alone it's part of gordian knot: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... p_id=77391

I hope this help..

AVIdemux might be better option, because it works on Win, Lin and Mac. And there is image output module in case you want to convert every frame to single image.

So with AVIdemux you can take frames out of movies? Would be nice if it's so. But does it works with Xvid? Because most of the things I found wont allow Xvid and always ask for codecs and to honest I don't trust those codecs.

Wow nice VLC_help it worked :)

Now I need something that can makes that avi file into a gif file.

EDIT : Well most of them are XVID that I got. Found some but they always say they can not be uploaded because it's a xvid ...
