smartphones transcodes - 1/2 framerate

Postby sash » 21 Nov 2004 15:53

hi there, I was wondering if it is possible to only beable to add the possiblity of reducing the frame rate to your trancode function, since alot of smartphones can only handle 1/2 framerate (15 or 12.5)

at the moment betaplayer is the only thing that will play them.. on smartphones. I have not noticed a port of vlc for them yet..

I was hoping i could broadcast news and finance channels to my phones IP . then when I am away I could simply connect to the net and catch up on the latest news that I am interestd in..

--sout-transcode-fps=frames_per_second_desired

It can also be set through the wxwindows GUI. Settings -- Preferences -- Modules -- sout stream -- stream_out_transcode. Check "Advanced options", then change the "Video frame rate" parameter (0.0 = use whatever the movie provides, make it non-0 if you want, say, 10.0 fps)
