Seamless looping?

Postby Randybob » 08 Apr 2007 00:43

I found the Loop function in the playlist, but there's this pause between loops that doesn't happen in Windows Media Player. I do animation, and I need to loop test renders over and over again sometimes. I like VLC for everything else, could this be worked in?

Is this for video or audio files?

Seamless looping for audio too! Winamp is the only player I've found that has this feature.

This is a wonderful player but lacking this basic feature:( I have the same problem as the first poster. I need to watch looping animations a lot. I love Vlc but I cannot use it because when playing, the last frame is black everytime it finishes the video. So loop playing is not seamless at all :(

I am doing some live streaming following the examples of this thread: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=45423 and the --loop in the commandline is really useless. JW media player disconnects at the end of the video because it doesn't see it as an endless movie. Please add the feature so that this option really works the way it should.
