retry after file handle breaks / Network connection restored

Hello,

i often play Video's from a network source or from my Truecrypt Container. When i try to continue playing the video it just plays the cached 300ms and then stops.

Scenario:
Play from local Truecrypt container (F:\Movie.avi)
Pause VLC
go into hibernation (truecrypt gets dismounted, otherwise the encryption would be compromised)
return from hibernation
mount truecrypt Container again
click play
------
The same happen's when i play files from a Network Share.


My workaround is to note at what time in the movie i paused, click Stop, click play and forward to that time.
i think the problem is because the file handle got invalid when the container was dismounted, would it be possbible to retry opening the location (F:\Movie.avi) when that happens?
