Msn now playing - Only the movie plz not the whole directory

Hello. My little problem -> On Msn now playing it shows the following: D:\Documents and Settings\Zuzuu\My Documents\Movies\Godfather\The Godfather.avi

What can i do to make the 'MSN now playing' shows only the movie and not the whole category?

thanks for the report, this was a bug and has been fixed in the code.

please can you try a nightly build from tomorrow or after (the fix has been made after the last nightly build was compiled) and report if it works for you ?

I'm having the same problem, but the latest Nigthly Build (branch-20070831-0330) didn't solve the problem.

If it's at all possible to add meta data then it should display that instead of the entire directory, other then that I'm not sure how else.

I have the problem also with all my MP3 files, with ID3 tags. So not only movies without meta data are a problem here.

Is that with the current version of VLC or the nightly builds? If it's tagged then it should work correctly, I believe for both versions but I'm using a nightly.

That time, I used 0.8.6a, I've tried 0.8.6b and 0.8.6c, now I use the newest Nightly build (0.8.6d) and the problem is still there. I haven't tried version 0.9.0, because it looks too unstable for me.

I've tried vlc-0.9.0-svn-20070831-0000-win32, and the problem is partial solved. When I click Tools -> Media Information, the fields are filled in right. But when I enable the MSN now playing function, the artist is not displayed in MSN. I only see a '-' and the title of the song. The settings are right, the title format string is "{0} - {1}".

Before, in versions 0.8.x, MSN displayed path - artist, while the MSN Title format string in the configuration was set at {0} - {1} (so artist - title). Album, {2}, is displayed right in all versions.

Guess you mean ctrl+j for 0.9.0 versions, there the fields title and artist are filled in right. If I use ctrl+i in the 0.8.6x version, all fields are filled in right, exept 'Name', where not the title but the full directory is showed.
