I feel that sometimes its just not worth the effort, and never used anyways, I meen who uses the mouse to pause a video anyways, and who fast forwards to the middle of a video with the keyboard

Problems with Full Screen

Postby madcapslaugh » 08 Mar 2007 20:14

so im using mac os x 10.4.9 , vlc 0.8.6 and i have just one complaint

ill explain it in a story:

so here i am browsing the internet checking my mail via a projector using a M$ wireless keyboard and mouse. Im watching a video of dragon ball at "half size, float on top" down on the corner of my screen. i finnish reading whatever article was that distracted me from the show, and i click full screen and put the wireless keyboard on the coffee table and watch my show. then at some point in the show i hear the "ding" that tells me some one emailed me. i grab the wireless mouse that was sitting on the couch arm thingy, and i wave it around to get the "quicktimesk" controler bar to pop up so i can send the video back to regular screen from full screen. BUT GUESS WHAT!! it dosent show up!?! the "float on top" setting is preventing me from adjusting the video. i cant fast forward, i cant pause, i cant swtich between full and not full. eventualy i just give up and reach over to grab the keyboard....

i mentioned that point too at my article at viewtopic.php?t=35698

u r right. i am missing this feature too. this is an important feature. however when in fullscreen u can switch back to windowed-mode by double-click on the video. but i cant move within video, controll volume or even pause it with mouse by any kind or Graphical user interface or a controll-panel on top.

nearly ANY media-player does have such an panel within fullscreen mode yet.

i vote YES! FOR FULLSCREEN CONTROL-PANEL

Use mouse gestures.

Wait for the new FS panel.
