transfer of files done in error media player in windows gone

Hi sooky here. I have accidently transferred my entire windows media player media library plus the actual program as well as I am unable to open my wmp .To get it up and running again Microsoft have advised me to do a custom install but If I cannot open WMP how do I do that from the original disc .Any ideas would be very welcome.Thanks in advance
