headphone settings?

Postby davidboyd1 » 15 Feb 2011 15:55

hey guys,

1st post on the forum. I signed up because I had a pretty specific question. Is there a special setting for headphones on VLC, or is there some equalizer setting that is best used for headphones? I just picked up a really nice set and wanted to get the most out of them while using VLC... mainly b/c vlc is my fav video player.

thanks!

Dave,
Menu bar>tools>effects and filters>EQ, You'll find a graphic and a "spatializer" which by the way it sounds is a multi-tapped digital delay with various feedback controls and an lfo assigned to panning the feedback taps, that whole blurb means it can give an interesting illusion of various room effects and acoustic reflections, a little bit can be good but more isn't necessarily better. when all else fails rtfm.
Enjoy
