So, I am going to buy a Bluray Player, should I just buy a PS3?

I don't really play a lot of games but what if I decide to play a few? Netflix on the PS3 to?

Any help

First thing to look at: price. If it works out cheaper than the other Bluray players it may make sense. Also, the day you start going 3D they PS3 is already capable of supporting it. I can't comment on the 'ease of use' factor, but that something else worth considering. Ideally you should put a together a list of what features you want and issues you want to avoid and make the comparison.

I personally use a playstation to play bluray disks. I would recommend it for a few reasons. First as was mentioned the hardware is capable of more than the current technology supports, as such instead of buying a new player to get things like 3d or new dolby surround formats, all you'll have to do is update your playstation. Secondly it does much more than just play bluray disks. I personally watch a crap load of netflix on my playstation along with streaming video from my laptop, and hulu plus just came out for the playstation as well. Third is the ability to rent movies or even purchase them from the playstation store, in full 1080p hd. Lastly you can use it to casually browse the internet on your t.v. at full wireless 801.11n speeds.
