VLC Active X Licence

Hi everyone,
I m new on the forum, and i ve been readin about the distribution licence for VLC.
I understood that somehow if we use the code and modify it in our own application we will be asked to provide our own code containing the VLC code modified.
However my question is as follows, if i m using the active X compononent of VLC embeded in a C# selfmade application. Not modifying a single line of the VLC player, since only making calls to the ActiveX component, would it be allow to me to distribute my C# application without overcoming the law ? sell my application ?
