help with a complicated setup?

here's what i need, one place where i can play up to 6 songs each in a different room, all at the same time. i can do this now with an old hardware setup (a few multi-disk changers and a multi-zone receiver. i would like to do this from one computer with all the music stored on a harddrive. i have searcher far and wide and only come up with 2 programs that are able to do this and they were around 5k$ so that is out of the question. any help? or suggestions?
i might just have to use a computer for each room and run different players for each.
