Tv tuner and Skype

I have installed tv tuner and skype both on my pc.but my trouble is in the recording control the tick given in the 'microphone' automatically shifts to 'Line in ' .When i start skype i have to every time tick the 'microphone'in the recording control otherwise the voice is not reached to the other party.Kindly give me the solution.
