I am not happy with the new player. It is slow and restrictive of the user. It seems that I am not being given the option to download older versions of the player, available up until a few months ago, which were faster and far more useful.
I do not appreciate that I wasn't told that previous versions would be unavailable once I downloaded the new version, but this seems to be the case. Please correct me if I am wrong. If that is true, I am going to find a different open-source solution. Honestly, it seems to me that videolan has sold out to the big corporations and their digital rights management schemes.
