Recording Video and Audio from 2 sources

I have a UDP video stream coming from one place and an audio feed from my audio card. Is there a forum here to see how to get both streams and record them with VLC?

So I see where you can go into Advanced Open and use the Show Extra options to play another file "synchronously" however even pointing to 2 wav files does not play them in sync. Is this a new coming out feature or am I dorked!
