use transcode feature to stitch??

the new vlc transcode feature is AWESOME! ...thanks for including it. is it possible, using that feature to stitch multiple files together when transcoding to form one single longer movie? i dragged 8 video clips (.mov) files to player and selected all using transcode feature, only i got 8 little movies instead of one long one. ...any ideas appreciated!!
