Hi,
where you want to stream? If in LAN, than you have to install AMC on all of your LAN hosts and "move up"(to the top) Multicast RTP option in AMC Network settings section. After that you can playback multicast AXIS video with IE(ActiveX) and with WMP(Open url axrtpm://<ip>/axis-media/media.amp).

Actually we are trying to stream via the Wan to a remote server. Then from our server, serving up multicast streams to users? The issue is being able to capture the files from the H. stream on our server, and then redistribute.

Wondering if you made any progress on this. I too need to generate a multicast stream from an Axis P3301 and am at a loss without using their Active X control.
I know that their is a limitation in the firmware of the camera regarding "Always Multicast" but I am under the impression that if I hit it right and explicitly ask for a multicast stream that I should get an SDP with the connection details and that it should start multicasting.

Yes we have been able to multicast out the H.264 streams. It is a very low cost solution, please contact me for a demo. Visit our site shareinmyday.com. We are also about to launch livegolfcams.com. We also host the video streams for a few clients as well.
