Stream quality measuring

Postby Nehemiah » 18 May 2008 12:06

Hi there,
I'm using Debian etch, VLC- 0.9.0-git and I'm trying to measure the quality of streaming video over different transport protocols (DCCP and UDP). Does anyone have an idea how this could be done?
Thanks in advance

I use an application built by Moscow State Univ. to test encoder compression rates, there might be something useful for you to use.

Hi Nehemiah,

I know this post is quite old, but i am doing the same tests that are you doing. I am streaming over HTTP/TCP, HTTP/TCP and HTTP/DCCP and want to compare the quality of the video.

Have you managed to perform your test?

Best Regards,
Dvx
