I didn't vote because Genre is something the Music Moguls created to keep track of sales and promote specific types of songs to specific groups of people.
Try expanding your mind and listen to more music. Really it is a great song that sells and NOT the Genre.
A great song is like music in the air, it's hard to put out of your mind.

Agreed? Sorry, that was a little too deep for me.
Did you try any of the links in this other thread:
None-Genred VGM music I can give a couple of recommendations, but that kind of depends on what gen...type of music you like.
Anyone ever listened to the wonderful score from
Soul Calibur II?

I agree with him a bit... thats why the type I love has so many sub catogaries.
I dont care what metal or what type of rock the music is. As long as it pumps me up with energy, I am
at night, I need music that puts me to sleep, so I go for softer stuff...
Basically speaking, I like music where the instrumentation is given more priority than the vocals. I hate the standard pop, because one just finds some crackpot like --SPAM--, Brain Adams, etc showing off on the stage. I also hate hip-hop as there is no serious complicated instrumentaton. It is also the easiest stuff to create as one only needs a softwqare like babya logic pro to make it with all artificial beats.
I even like the beatles, as they are well seasoned instrumentalists...

I won't disagree, but traditionally it's the vocalist that sells a tune. Pure instrumental songs do not sell well. Thus the public has spoken and you are in the minority.
Music in the air is most generally just the melody of a song less vocals. Unfortunately most people never hear this until the song is a hit and they can't get it out of their mind and then they remember the vocal line which came long after the music in the air for the composer.

Need not be so. I hope you have heard Metallica's The Ecastacy Of Gold, To Live Is To Die, Orion and The Call Of Ktulu. they rock without vocals(ok there may be a little bit of it, so what?). Actually, the vocals must sync with the music to such a degree that they must be unseperatable

Hope some of you like it, since classical/metal is pretty popular here. The new album (Paradise Lost) from these guys is gonna kick some serious ass.

Sorry but CloudStalker's not much of a Heavy Metal listener, however, if you're interested in video game music...
