Small question: Are those legal files? If not please do not post links to these kind of pages from the VideoLAN forums. We'd rather not have issues with copyright holders. (If they are legal please ignore this post)

Well there are some legal sections from various sites, but that's irrelevant now since the music is forever gone, at least by CloudStalker.

Why the heck do you repost everything from this forum? You could just send the link to the forum and not to each single post in order to bump this thread, it looks just like spam to me

What gives you the idea that this is legal? It's copyrighted material that is not free but sold with the games, and sometimes also separately. I don't believe that this is legit at all, especially as these sites also host the soundtracks of need for speed, and those soundtracks are totally for sure not free or legal to share/copy. Not that I would have a problem with that but it is not ok to post links to illegal stuff in these forums, especially you as moderator should now that

Didn't want to "hurt" your thread I was just concerned about the legality of those stuff. It didn't appear to me as being legal, as the offered music is part of the game and only licensed to be played to those who own the game. Well that is what I thought, but as the game companies are not intervening and the offered music is only available to be bought in japan it appears now quite legal to me. I think it's maybe some kind of a greyzone.
So I take back my charges and give my vote to maintain these links
