Listening to BBC radio

Postby cpt_spalding » 07 Feb 2007 16:44

Working in an office where listening to radio via the internet is difficult due to restrictions on use of WinMedia & Real player. I want to use VLC to listen instead however this is not an option on the BBC website. Can I access 6Music from the VLC player? & if so, how?

input:-

into the open network stream, click on the HTTP/HTTPS/FTP/MMS tab, and input:-

http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/wm_asx/aod/radio1.asx

the radio1 stream will be available on 4 slots (all the same)

Happy listening

Just get the idea that VLC could be used to listen to BBC, and it's cool :P

hi, i've been using http://www.bbcradio.mobi
it works very well, has a list of all the bbc radio channels, also has news and sports section.
perfect for mobile radio, site loads up fast, and always works.

then why dont we start a new feature request to support an online radio browser(like Rhythem Box)? AOL XM Radio rocks...
