Cannot burn AVI DVD with audio (Mac)

I am trying to burn some AVI files with Retrospect to a DVD. The Video records fine, however, there is no audio track. I'm using an Intel iMac G5 running Mac OS 10.46. If there is anyone who can give me the correct configurations to burn the disks I'd reall appreciate.

You need to convert your files before trying to burn them with Retrospect (since when can this app burn Video-DVDs btw.?).

The apps of choice for this work are either ffmpegX or iSquint. Depending on Retrospect's capabilities, you probably want to convert your AVIs to MPEG2/mp2v (video-codec), mpga/mp3 (audio) and MPEG PS (encapsulation format). This will give you the best quality and the best conversation time (it will still take quite long), so I'd recommend ffmpegX, which is a bit more complex to use, but support this format. Using MPEG2.. also got the advantage that Retrospect doesn't have to convert it again to burn it to a Video-DVD. There is problem a bug in it, which eats up your audio.

BTW. I moved this topic to the Coffee-section, because it isn't related to VLC or the VideoLAN project.
