I don't know if you guys get enough appreciation or appreciation posts around here, but a huge thanks. VLC is the only player that actually does its job: it plays any sort of dubious files I download. I don't understand how anyone would bother with the other bloatware on the Play Store on the App Store or whatever people use to download their stuff, either for their mobile stuff or for the desktop. VLC works, simply. I find it incredible that it's all volunteer work. And not only does it play the whole assortment of video files, I've just turned to it to play my music files on my Mac too. Because Macs are utterly terrible, I have little choice when it comes to software, and most music players are so bloated with other garbage I don't need. VLC, again, just does its job. No fluff, no nonsense, no ads, no payments. It's a darned headache saver.
Wish you guys luck in continuing the project, it's one of the few pure tech gizmo that was birthed in the 2000's and still continues strong today.
