The VideoLAN Forums

On my home network, I have a set top box & a PC, both with known IP addresses. Tried to stream video from box to PC via VLC. What is the best link for doing this?
The first question I want answered is: which Stream button to use: "Network" or "Capture Device"

When I said link, I meant link to instructions. Sorry about the ambiguity.
