Strange file

Hey there,
I doubt this has anything to do with VLC, but I'm just trying to figure something out, so here it is: I don't have that many programs installed and I keep most of my files like videos etc on my D: disk. So I was quite surprised to see my C: disk nearly full. After a short search I found a 149GB file in my videos folder (that I never use). The file was named "vlc-record-2016-09-22-02h-14m-30s-IMG_5539_x264.avi-.ts". I tried opening it with VLC, no luck, I tried opening in other programs, didn't work. Then I just wanted it gone, but it seemed impossible to delete in a regular way. Eventually I had success in deleting it in safe mode command prompt (DEL /F /S /Q /A "C:\users\dennis\videos\vlc-record-2016-09-22-02h-14m-30s-IMG_5539_x264.avi-.ts") deleting it using the command prompt in normal mode also did nothing.
So, the problem is solved, but now I'm just wondering how a file with that name and size even got on my laptop and the only clues I have are in the title: VLC and the date, but that date doesn't mean anything to me...
Additional info: I use my laptop mainly for internet, browsing, downloading etc. I don't create videos or .ts files for that matter, the only files I create are .txt or some office extension, and I scan my laptop regularly for malware/viruses etc. but I'm no n00b to the interwebs and I know where to click and where not to
